However, on the following day, the cassette was made available worldwide through Mariah's official website. On Novemit was announced that the song will be paired with " Loverboy (Firecracker – Original Version)" and released as a limited edition cassette single in Japan on December 11, 2020. Mariah has stated that the recording of the song that is heard on The Rarities is the closest that "we got" to the demo tape's version. Mariah has stated that she wanted to include the song on her debut album but she doesn't remember why it wasn't except that she (as well as others who worked on the track) felt it didn't capture the magic of the first demo. The song was track #1 of Mariah's very first demo tape. In a video promoting this release, a 45 seconds audio snippet of the song can be heard. On SeptemMariah announced that 16 of her albums are available on vinyl. On the album, "Here We Go Around Again" was listed as the first track. On SeptemMariah revealed the track-listing for the compilation album, The Rarities. A correspondent from Billboard who attended the party, described the song as being:Ī snippet of a Jackson 5-esque song that dates back to her 1990 debut This party included fans, journalists and friends. On August 21, 2020, Mariah hosted a listening party for the single " Save The Day" via Zoom. Before its release, fans speculated that the title of the song was "Here We Go Round Again" because Margulies titled the song as such in his interview with Billboard in 2003. It is a mid-tempo R&B song and it was the first song that the pair penned together. Here We Go Around Again was written by Mariah and Ben Margulies while Mariah was still in highschool in the 1980s.
